The farm
Tradition, with an eye on the future
Tyn-yr-Onnen is run as a sustainable farm with a continuous focus on improving the environment. We use rotational grazing, avoid fertiliser, grass-feed our sheep and produce electricity from a hydro scheme using the stream that runs through the farm.
Since 2021 we have also produced mushrooms and microgreens: sustainable, versatile and delicious food grown here on the farm.

Mountains, coast and history
Caernarfon and its world-famous castle are four miles away. Llanberis, its lake, waterfalls and mountain railway are six miles away, and Dinas Dinlle beach is nine miles from the farm.
